The Ivy Creek CSA

WHAT OUR CSA MEMBERS SAY
“We just wanted to take a moment and say thank you.  Kristi and I have had an amazing season as part of the Ivy Creek Family Farm CSA.  We can not begin to express our gratitude for the hard work you all put in to bring forth a marvelous harvest every week.  Your work and your product enriched our lives, not only with the produce we received, but also with the new rituals it brought to our days together.  From Saturday market visits to pick up our box, to planning new creative meals together, to sharing our abundance with friends, each week brought new and exciting events.” – Bobby Taylor

“We are so happy to be a part of your wonderful CSA & look forward to having a full share every season you offer it! Count us in for the extended season & thereafter….” – Ilene Procida

“Yum!  Jason and I are enjoying our veggies so much, and Angelique and I love meeting at the market to split up our week’s bounty. As it turns out, a half share is the perfect amount for each of us…” – Rachel Zink

WHAT IS A CSA HARVEST SHARE?
Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA, is an arrangement that provides a direct connection between community members and local farmers. CSA members become a part of Ivy Creek Family Farm by purchasing a share of the season’s harvest in advance. We provide CSA farm members with a weekly box of fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers throughout the harvest season.

HOW LONG IS THE HARVEST SEASON?
With our traditional CSA boxes, we provide members with fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers from late April to early September, totaling 20 weeks of produce, fruits and flowers for farm share members. Members can choose to purchase a fall share as well, which runs for 8 weeks from early September to early November.

HOW MUCH FOOD?
Our CSA farm share boxes contain 6-10 different vegetables each week, depending on the season.  We include  5-8 pounds of produce in the box, or approximately one large paper grocery bag full of vegetables.  One whole CSA farm share is suitable for two vegetable enthusiasts or a family of two adults and two children. If you are concerned a share is too much for you, we encourage you to split a share with a neighbor.

WHEN & WHERE DO I PICK UP MY SHARE?
Once a week, you will pick up your vegetables which will vary depending on the harvest. Farm share members choose one of the pick up locations below:
Wednesday, Weaverville Market at Lake Louise Hours: 2:30-6:30pm
Saturday, North Asheville Market: UNCA Campus Hours: 8:00am-121:00pm
Thursday, Farm Pick Up in Barnardsville Hours: 4:00pm-7:00pm
Get your friends signed up and we’ll deliver! We offer free delivery of 8 or more shares to a single location such as a business or a single home in a neighborhood. Contact us if you are interested in arranging a group delivery.
